Lake Elmo Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel Challenges<\/strong><\/p>\n

The homeowner\u2019s existing kitchen needed more than a facelift. The traffic flow from the garage into the kitchen was horrible. The cabinetry was falling apart and dated. Laminate floors and countertops had seen better days, and lighting was dim. The same challenges affected the nearby bathroom.<\/p>\n

The Novare Renovation Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel Solution<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first step in updating and improving the Lake Elmo kitchen and bathroom project was to improve the traffic flow. Once we had a new footprint in place, we could move on to finishes. To improve the flow of foot traffic from the garage through the kitchen, we enlarged the opening between the garage entry and kitchen. We removed one wall and relocated a closet and another wall to make this space airy and welcoming.<\/p>\n

Once the homeowner had approved the new footprint, we helped her pick out finishes that would improve both the function and beauty of her kitchen. Custom walnut cabinetry anchored the space. A ceramic tile backsplash in a herringbone pattern complemented the durable quartz countertops. In the bathroom, we continued the walnut cabinetry, but added interest with a granite countertop and porcelain tile.<\/p>\n

To bring the spaces together, the homeowner chose a beautiful character-grade hickory hardwood with lots of variation and interest in the woodgrain. Finally, recessed lighting in the ceiling and multiple levels of LED lighting brightened the room and task areas.<\/p>\n
